WINTER CLASSES (December 4 – February 22)
THIS WEEK, we are providing a variety of weekly classes for Strength
Endurance, Explosive Strength and Speed & Agility Training. The
classes are run by a variety of ETHS coaches that want to change
the culture and mentality of Wildkit strength and conditioning. Our
Strength & Conditioning Coach, Albert Ferguson, developed the training module for the strength classes and our baseball
coaches lead the speed and agility classes. Attend whichever sessions work with your schedule.
Strength Endurance: Focused on improving muscular endurance
for aerobically demanding sports. Recommended for: soccer, cross
country, track & field, lacrosse, field hockey, swimming,
badminton, basketball, golf, tennis, pomkits, water polo.
Mondays – 6:15-7:05am, G220 (Coach Gedion Yitref)
Tuesdays – 6:15-7:05am, Weight Room (Coach Rosette Ochoa)
Thursdays –8:00-8:50pm, G220 (Coach Joyce Anderson)
Explosive Strength: Focused
on improving explosive strength, power, and speed. Recommended for: football,
track & field, baseball, softball, wrestling, volleyball, lacrosse,
gymnastics, swimming, diving, bowling, badminton,
basketball, cheerleading, tennis.

Wednesdays – 6:15-7:05am, Weight Room (Coach Ashley Meyer)
Thursdays – 6:15-7:05am, Weight Room (Coach Luis Vargas)
SPEED & AGILITY: Focused
on improving the ability to accelerate, decelerate, stabilize, and
quickly change directions with proper posture while at a competitive
Recommended for: football,
track & field, baseball, softball, volleyball, gymnastics,
badminton, basketball, cheerleading, tennis, soccer, cross country,
lacrosse, field hockey.
Mondays – 2:30-3:15pm, Fieldhouse (Baseball Coaching Staff – all sports welcome)
Tuesdays – 3:45-4:30pm, Fieldhouse (Baseball Coaching Staff – all sports welcome)
The days/times/location for Speed & Agility workouts may change beginning January.
Please arrive to the sessions 5 minutes before the start time dressed in athletic apparel and ready to train. Bring your school bag with you as the locker rooms
may be unavailable before/after many of these sessions.

FRESHMEN AND JV SCHEDULE
Marcus attended ETHS and was a 4-time state qualifier. He held the #1 ranking in CDTA Boys 18s. winning 13 area tournaments the Summer entering his senior year. He attended Northwestern University and was a member of the NU Varsity Tennis Team. After graduating college, he moved to Jackson Hole, WY, taught tennis at Teton Pines Country Club and was Harrison Ford's private instructor from 1994-1997. He moved back to Evanston in 1998 and after business consulting stints for a couple years, re-entered the professional tennis ranks in 2000. He has instructed at Wilmette Tennis Club, Northwestern, Nielson Tennis Center and privately throughout the area ever since.
